Objectives of the Department	Ü Issues and follows up the excavation work permits online. Ü Saves time and efforts to issue the excavation work permits. Ü Ensures speed and accuracy on issuing the excavation work permits. Ü Reduces excavation works in streets by means of geographical information system. Ü Cancels all paper works utilizing the geographical information system. Ü Supports application of the electronic services.
Duties of the Department	Ü Follows up the contractors' works on the ground. Ü Meets with the liaison officer to solve any arising problems. Ü Develops the operating system electronically. Ü Imposes fines on the contractors violating the contract terms and conditions. Ü Receives complaints of citizens and acts accordingly.
