2- Carrying out information systems and municipality IT usages strategy and putting the execution plan in coordination with the related authorities.

3- Assisting the higher administration and decision makers by providing information and statistics through the Operational Electronic Systems.

4- Coordinating with governmental and private bodies related to                  e-government projects

5- Exchanging expertise with other IT departments.

6- Maintaining and developing all types of computer networks in a way that suits the volume of work in the municipality.

7- Promoting and increasing the innovative educational applications of geographical information systems and their curriculum on the internet

8- Providing the materials and software that serve the database, and update them regularly
